What is graphene?

● Graphene is an allotrope (form) of carbon consisting of a single layer of carbon atoms arranged in an hexagonal lattice. Scientists theorized about graphene for years. The material was later rediscovered, isolated, and characterized in 2004 by Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov at the University of Manchester.

Research was informed by existing theoretical descriptions of its composition, structure, and properties. This work resulted in the two winning the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2010 "for groundbreaking experiments regarding the two-dimensional material graphene."

Graphene is a new material, which is not only thin with high strength, but also has low resistivity, good thermal conductivity and good conductivity. Graphene is almost completely transparent and soft, but its atomic   arrangement is close, and even the smallest molecular structure of helium can not penetrate it. It is known as the most subversive material in 21 st Century. In recent years, graphene and its derivatives are widely used in the field of biomedical, optical and etc. The study found that graphene can absorb and reflect far infrared radiation up to 40%.

graphene properties

Far Infrared Ray

It helps to increase the surface skin temperature and improve the body's microcirculation, improve the function of body to enhance immunity comprehensively.

Antibacterial

Graphene can destroy the cell membrane of bacterial. It can cause the outflow of protein and other substances, which lead to the bacterial death.

Anti-Static

Great electrical conductivity, which causes the charge distribution, results in well antistatic effect. Antistatic grade can reach grade A standard.
